General
| Q. | What are the registration fees? |
| A. | The fees are $250 for football and $325 for cheer. Space is limited and only paid registrants are guaranteed a spot on the team. |
| Q. | Can I be issued a refund if my child changes his/her mind? |
| A. | The NYFL rules state that no refunds will be issued. If it is a weight or disqualification by default issue, it can be brought to the board for review. If it is an issue that the registrant has decided that they do not want to participate or they are asked to leave the league for behavior issues, no refund will be granted. |
| Q. | Where is practice and what are the requirements? |
| A. | Practices are held at Valley Oaks School Monday through Friday from 6pm to 8pm for the first few weeks. We will then cut it down to Tuesday through Thursday with the coaches option to hold a Friday walk-through. Each child is responsible for bringing their own water bottle and taking it home at the end of practice. Clothing should contain no buttons or zippers. No jewlery. Tennis shoes or molded cleats. No flip flops or sandals.
This is not a babysitting service. Please be prompt in bringing your child and picking them up again. It is preferred that a custodian stay through practice in case of emergency, loss of field, bad weather, etc. Each of our coaches are volunteers and cannot drive your children back and forth from each practice and game. Please respect that they have families they need to be with also. |
| Q. | Why is cheer more expensive than football this year? |
| A. | Cheer has a required camp as well as competition. In past years we tried to collect these fees after registration. This year we decided to collect it in advance. |
